We currently collect and process the following information that you enter onto our website:

How we get the personal information and why we have it
The personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

To make enquiries through our ‘contact us’ page.

Requesting to join the CanVIG-UK membership (mailing list or monthly meeting).
We use the information that you have given us in order to:

Reply to your enquiries.

Assess eligibility for CanVIG-UK membership and send emails with relevant correspondence. Only people working within certain specialities for UK academic or NHS organisations are eligible for membership.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are (a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting CanGene-CanVar@icr.ac.uk
How we store your personal information
Your information for CanVIG-UK membership is securely stored within password protected documents and mailing systems held at the Institute of Cancer Research.

CanVIG-UK members details will be stored securely for the period of the grant (up to March 2024) unless requested to unsubscribe by contacting Canvig@icr.ac.uk. Data will then be deleted permanently from records. In the event of continuation of CanVIG-UK updated procedures for data storage will be communicated.

All other information collected on our website is not stored externally from our host platform, Wix.com.
Our website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to share our information with you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.
